Meet Gabi.
Inclusion & Accessibility
Gabi specializes in inclusive and accessible technology. She worked on 21st Century Communications and Video Accessibility Act (CVAA) comments on behalf of the wireless industry ahead of the FCC's biennial report to Congress. Not only does she advocate for inclusive technology and accessibility policy on the state and federal level, she also managed content strategy for AccessWireless.org, organized industry events centered on digital inclusion, and served on panels. She organized the 9th annual and 10th annual Accessibility Outreach Initiative (AOI) Forums. The events were attended by members of Congress as well as Federal Communications Commission (FCC) leadership. She served for two terms on the board for the annual M-Enabling Summit, providing counsel on the Program Advisory Committee. She managed third-party relationships with leading organizations, including the Hearing Loss Association of America (HLAA), the American Association for People with Disabilities (AAPD), the American Foundation for the Blind (AFB), the National Association for the Deaf (NAD), the Telecommunications for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (TDI), and more. She was the architect of an effort to help ensure her organization's websites are ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act)-compliant, in adherence with President Joe Biden's recent initiative to ensure web accessibility for all Americans. She regularly coordinated with the Global Accessibility Reporting Initiative (GARI), an online database for accessible mobile phones, tablets and apps. It allows consumers to learn about accessibility features of mobile devices. Her expertise ranges from federal policy and corporate social responsibility to diversity equity and inclusion (DEI) programs in the private sector.
